Compliance Coordinator

Position Description
The responsibilities of this position are maintain, develop, and expand nebulizer medication services.

Reports To
Inhalation Program Director

Major Responsibilities

  1. Marketing and Growth
    • Promote increased profits, growth, and general business.
    • Inform consumers of the benefits of the external inhalation program.
    • Follow up on referral leads.
  2. Communication and Referrals
    • Facilitate communication among Respiratory Therapists, HME Representatives, and other support personnel.
    • Route all doctors’ orders or Certificates of Medical Necessity to the appropriate personnel to meet state and federal regulations.
    • Route all completed written communications and files to the appropriate personnel.
    • Professionally inform personnel of any problems that need to be resolved. Follow up regarding the resolution of these problems.
    • Schedule regular and customary set-ups and patient follow-ups.
    • Educate employees about inhalation services and products.
  3. Inventory
    • Maintain an current and accurate inventory of supplies and equipment.
    • Understand the process of consolidating orders.
    • Collect and put all supplies, equipment, and medication in a container for a final check prior to shipping.
  4. Service
    • Assist patients as they come into the store or over the telephone.
    • Check invoices for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
    • Run and review daily transactions and discuss improvements with appropriate personnel.
    • Check patient accounts for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
    • Run daily reports on dispensed inhalation products from all locations.
  5. Other
    • Perform all other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
A two-year degree in nursing, respiratory therapy, or other related field is required. In addition, a strong background in marketing is beneficial. The employee must have an extensive background in billing, pharmacies, customer service, computer use, and product management. A combination of education and related experience are used to meet minimum qualifications. In addition, the employee must comply with regular and continuing education and training provided and scheduled by Kohll’s.
