Director of Powered Mobility

Position Description
The overarching goal for this position is to bring freedom and independence to each person who is in need. This is to be done with ethics and with dignity.

Reports To
Chief Executive Officer

Major Responsibilities

  1. Management and Organization
    • Maintain daily operations for all motorized equipment.
    • Manage and direct associates who work with the motorized equipment.
    • Use Kohll’s computer management system to input all sales.
    • Develop proposals for all prior authorization for clients with insurance.
  2. Management and Finances
    • Run monthly reports to determine growth of the department. This will be used also by the Service Technician Manager of Powered Mobility. The report will be a QS1 report containing the patients’ names, patients’ codes, work performed, billing date, and date of payment.
    • Powered Mobility and Manual Rehab Department will be a profit-making entity.
    • Market and promote Kohll’s Powered Mobility Program to new and current referral sources.
    • Oversee sales of powered wheelchairs, scooters, and stair glides to all buyers.
    • Invoice and deliver each sold unit to ensure the possible relationship with clients.
  3. Understandings and Skills
    • Use Kohll’s computer management system to enter new patients, list and access physicians and insurance carriers, access product codes, schedule delivery and pick-up, and determine assigned and non assigned insurance.
    • Stay current with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and use the manuals when necessary.
    • Complete all computer and paper work in order to efficiently and effectively provide service to the patients and be accountable to the entire Kohll’s organization.
  4. Other
    • Perform all other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
College education in the healthcare field with a background in healthcare and sales. A combination of education and related experience are used to meet minimum qualifications. In addition, the employee must comply with regular and continuing education and training provided and scheduled by Kohll’s.
