Home Medical Equipment Representative

Position Description
The responsibilities of this position are to respond to telephone inquiries and visits from Homecare patients and referral sources, to provide information on equipment, supplies, and services, and assist walk-in patients with selection of equipment, supplies, and services.

Reports To
HME Director and Individual Store Home Medical Equipment Manager

Major Responsibilities

  1. Patient Processing
    • Process telephone orders by preparing patient paperwork.
    • Verify insurance and other methods of payment.
    • Check all completed paperwork to ensure proper documentation received is accurate and efficiently entered.
    • Enter data, billing information, and delivery information for orders placed.
  2. Orders
    • Place orders to manufacturers for supplies and equipment needed by patients.
    • Receive inventory and ensure proper placement of supplies and equipment within the store.
  3. Coordination
    • Organize the delivery and setup and pickup of equipment, supplies, and services with appropriate personnel.
    • Assure that deliveries and set-ups will be performed in a timely manner.
  4. Other
    • Perform all other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma required, with college work in the specific field preferred. A combination of education and related experience are used to meet minimum qualifications. In addition, the employee must comply with regular and continuing education and training provided and scheduled by Kohll’s.
