Inhalation Program Director

Position Description
The responsibilities of this position are to oversee, market, and educate personnel in the Respiratory Department as it relates directly and indirectly to inhalation services.

Reports To
Chief Executive Officer

Major Responsibilities

  1. Marketing and Growth
    • Promote increased profits, growth, and general business.
    • Design, implement, and promote the inhalation program.
    • Inform consumers of the benefits of the external inhalation program.
    • Assist in designing brochures for marketing in specific areas.
  2. Communication and Referrals
    • Encourage referrals from employees.
    • Make reports and keep a spreadsheet on referrals.
    • Keep referral sheets current.
    • Follow up on referral leads.
    • Educate employees about inhalation services and products.
    • Verify compliance with inhalation separates and compounding medication.
    • Gather and review all prescriptions related to inhalation therapy to meet state and federal regulations.
    • Interface with customers to assess and answer questions, comments, concerns, or complaints.
  3. Inventory
    • Keep inventory current by going to other locations to refill supplies and equipment.
    • Place orders for supplies and equipment.
    • Prepare supplies and equipment for shipping to patients’ homes.
    • Review nebulizer product lines to enhance inhalation therapy.
  4. Service
    • Assist patients as they come into the store or over the telephone.
    • Check invoices for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
  5. Other
    • Perform all other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelors degree in business and/or in Respiratory, CRT, or RRT is required. In addition, a strong background in marketing is beneficial. The employee must have an extensive background in billing, pharmacies, customer service, computer use, and product management. A combination of education and related experience are used to meet minimum qualifications. In addition, the employee must comply with regular and continuing education and training provided and scheduled by Kohll’s.
