Manager of Mobility Department

Position Description
The responsibilities of this position are to answer all service calls for powered wheelchairs, scooters, and manual rehab chairs, to make all necessary and appropriate repairs, and to provide all necessary and appropriate service.

Reports To
Chief Executive Officer

Major Responsibilities

  1. Management and Organization
    • Make appointments for service calls.
    • Keep a log of calls for service.
    • Use Kohll’s computer management system to document service calls.
    • Create a parts catalogue to maintain a minimum stock needed for basic repairs.
    • Contact patients to execute service and repairs in the store or at the patients’ homes.
  2. Management and Finances
    • The director will run periodic reports to determine growth of the department. This will be used by the Service Technician of Powered Mobility. The report will be a spreadsheet containing the patients’ names, patients’ codes, work performed, billing date, and date of payment.
    • Powered Mobility and Manual Rehab Department will be a profit-making entity.
  3. Understandings and Skills
    • Use Kohll’s computer management system to enter new patients, list and access physicians and insurance carriers, access product codes, schedule delivery and pick-up, and determine assigned and non assigned insurance.
    • Stay current with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and use the manuals when necessary.
    • Complete all computer and paper work in order to efficiently and effectively provide service to the patients and be accountable to the entire Kohll’s organization.
  4. Other
    • Always be on time for work and special appointments and meetings.
    • Have the correct tools available for the work that needs to be done.
    • Plan and have on hand the proper parts for the repairs.
    • Have professional appearance and attitude.
    • Communicate effectively with the office so that the Manager knows the schedule and the current location of the Technician.
    • Provide follow-up to customers and to the office.
    • Perform all other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma required. A combination of education and related experience are used to meet minimum qualifications. In addition, the employee must comply with regular and continuing education and training provided and scheduled by Kohll’s.
