Respiratory Manager

Position Description
The responsibilities of this position are to supervise the Respiratory Department staff and oversee the total operations of the Respiratory Department.

Reports To
Site Leader/Executive Director of Administration

Major Responsibilities

  1. Management and Organization
    • Schedule and Coordinate Respiratory Therapists and Delivery Technicians.
    • Ensure that Respiratory clients have follow-up.
    • Preside at Respiratory meetings.
    • Use Kohll’s computer management system to document service calls.
    • Coordinate Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN) deliveries.
    • Coordinate new policies and sales initiatives.
    • Monitor daily operations.
  2. Management and Finances
    • Oversee accounts receivable, proper billing, and inventory for quantity and quality controls.
    • Run accounts receivable reports.
    • Participate in internal sales and referrals.
    • Participate in external sales.
    • Demonstrate continuous growth in the number of patients and the total revenue received in the Respiratory Department.
  3. Understandings and Skills
    • Use Kohll’s computer management system to enter new patients, list and access physicians
      and insurance carriers, access product codes, schedule delivery and pick-up, and determine assigned and non-assigned insurance.
    • Stay current with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and use the manuals when necessary.
    • Provide education program specifically customized for Respiratory staff.
    • Set-up clients with respiratory equipment, supplies, and service.
  4. Other
    • Perform all other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
At least two years of hospital and or homecare experience is preferred with good management skills. A combination of education and related experience are used to meet minimum qualifications. In addition, the employee must comply with regular and continuing education and training provided and scheduled by Kohll’s.
