Position Description
The responsibilities of this position are to oversee the general functions of the store as they relate to the physical plant, merchandise, employment decisions, and the smooth operations of the store.
Reports To
Executive Director of Administration
Major Responsibilities
- Service
- Makes work schedules for employees of the store, including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns, janitors, drivers, and cashiers.
- Assists customers with purchases.
- Maintains the building by hiring specialized personnel to provide service and by supervising the janitor and others in keeping the store clean and tidy.
- Maintains the medication inventory and controls the inventory.
- Corrects claims to ensure reimbursement is made.
- Makes decisions for promotions, merchandising, informational fairs, and furnishing for the store.
- Provides leadership to all employees in the store.
- Fills prescriptions.
- Personnel of Management
- Helps to attract and maintain high quality personnel to be employed in the store.
- Supervises the scheduling and the productivity of the various staff members.
- Provides staff members with professional growth opportunities to improve their performance through their knowledge and skills.
- Other
- Perform all other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma is required. The employee must be able to get along with a variety of customers and employees. The employee should have experience in a retail environment and be willing to expand on that experience. A combination of education and related experience are used to meet minimum qualifications. In addition, the employee must comply with regular and continuing education and training provided and scheduled by Kohll’s.
