Oxygen concentrators - Oxygen concentrators enable patients to receive uninterrupted continuous oxygen without running out. Concentrators can be wheeled to any location within the home and within a reasonable distance outside the home, making them more portable than stationary liquid devices.
Cylinder oxygen systems - Cylinder oxygen is best for non-ambulatory patients who need a low liter flow or high liter flow for non-continual usage.
Oxygen conserving devices - Conserving devices may be used along with standard oxygen cylinder systems to reduce the amount of oxygen that escapes. Conservators may also extend the usable hours of a standard oxygen cylinder. When used properly, oxygen-conserving devices can allow patients longer use of their supplemental oxygen and the convenience of mobility.
A nebulizer is a device used to administer medication to people in the form of a mist inhaled into the lungs. It is commonly used in treating cystic fibrosis, asthma, and other respiratory diseases.
A Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine was initially used mainly by patients for the treatment of sleep apnea at home, but now is in widespread use across intensive care units as a form of ventilation. Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when the upper airway becomes narrow as the muscles relax naturally during sleep. This reduces oxygen in the blood and causes arousal from sleep. The CPAP machine stops this phenomenon by delivering a stream of compressed air via a hose to a nasal pillow, nose mask or full-face mask, splinting the airway (keeping it open under air pressure) so that unobstructed breathing becomes possible, reducing and/or preventing apneas and hypopneas. This has the additional benefit of reducing or eliminating the extremely loud snoring that sometimes accompanies sleep apnea.

A Suction Machine is a device for removing liquids or gases by suction, especially an instrument that uses suction to remove substances, such as mucus or serum, from a body cavity. A suction machine is used to create a partial vacuum. A suction machine has been prescribed by your doctor to help remove secretions and mucus from your airways. In addition, a suction machine may be needed when you have a moist cough, are unable to effectively clear secretions from the throat, or are having difficulty breathing or feel that you cannot get enough air.
The portable or stationary liquid oxygen systems are best suited for patients who are active and participate in exercise rehabilitation. Liquid oxygen is also good for patients who require high continuous liter flow.
